How to Care for Your Modular Sectional: The Complete Guide
April 3, 2026 – Cody Ryans
A modular sectional is an investment in how you live — and like any good investment, a little maintenance goes a long way. The good news? Versa Posh was engineered for people who actually use their furniture, not people who wrap it in plastic.
Weekly Maintenance
Fluff and rotate your cushions once a week. This redistributes the fill evenly and prevents permanent impressions from forming in your favorite seat. If you always sit in the same spot (we all do), try rotating the cushion positions between modules every month.
Washing Your Covers
Every Versa Posh cover unzips from its module in seconds. Machine wash on cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. That's it. No dry cleaning bills, no specialty treatments, no stain-anxiety every time someone opens a bottle of red wine. We recommend washing your covers every 2–3 months under normal use, or immediately after a major spill.
Spot Cleaning
For minor spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Don't rub — rubbing pushes the liquid deeper into the fibers. For stubborn spots, a damp cloth with a mild soap solution works. If the stain persists, just unzip the cover and wash the whole thing. That's the beauty of removable covers: you never have to stress about what your furniture looks like underneath a stain.
Protecting the Frame
The kiln-dried hardwood frame is built to last decades, but a few simple habits help. Keep your sectional out of direct, prolonged sunlight — UV can fade fabric over time. If you're rearranging modules, lift rather than drag to protect both the frame and your floors. And while the block-and-lock system is designed for repeated assembly and disassembly, avoid forcing connections. If a piece isn't clicking in, realign and try again.
Seasonal Deep Clean
Twice a year, do a full refresh: remove all covers and wash them, vacuum the frame and cushion cores to remove dust and crumbs, and check the block-and-lock connections to make sure everything's seated firmly. It takes about 30 minutes and your sectional will feel like the day it arrived.
